Its been a while…

YHC has not Qed in a long time. A LONG TIME! There are many reasons for that, but we will get back to that. Post GrowRuck I had a crappy week of workouts, a hurt back, and was just plain tired. Because of all of that I took a couple days off and I wanted a crowd pleaser that the Pax would hope to repeat in the future. So here it is:

The weather: a very mild 34

The thang:

intro, disclaimer, prayer

Mosey to the field of dreams

SSH ×15
LBAC x31
Imperial Walkers x15
TTT x15

Mosey and get a block

Evo1: 20 merkins dragging the block underneath you, side to side, every rep
Bear Crawl about 40 yards (from light to light) with said block, repeat merkin drag, bearcrawl back, repeat merkin drag

Evo2: “burpee mile” down and back

Evo3: 20 BBSU, lunge down, 20 BBSU, lunge back, 20BBSU

Evo4: 20 merkins, bear crawl down, 20 merkins, bear crawl back, 20 merkins

Return the blocks and mosey the long way home.

Announcements:

Prayers: victims of train wreck, unspoken

Moleskin:
As I said I have not Qed in a long time. Technically I am in my third restart with f3, and it has finally stuck. My first two failures have their own story so I will spare you the details. But this time was different, and I give all the credit in the world to Chedda. I have no idea why, but when he put out the “Chedda Challenge” last summer, something clicked. You see I did not know Chedda, but it seemed like a bad idea and I needed to do something different, so I HC’ed.

After that, I wanted to post. I wanted to post a lot. All over the place.

This may sound stupid to you, but I was always mentally the 6, and for the most part physically the 6 too. Therefore I dared not show up to other AOs as I was comfortable hiding in the one I knew. In the last 6 months I have enjoyed posting across the region, but I l have found I like hanging with and meeting all the different pax and discovering the character of each AO. It has changed f3 for me completely, and I am grateful for all the AOs that have welcomed me and the Pax that post at them. I have more I need to visit.

This was really just a long way to say I know there are other pax out there that have some roadblocks out there. It may be mental, physical, or something else, but I challenge you to do something different. When someone puts out a challenge, invites you to another AO, or some other #CSAUP that is a bad idea comes up, do it. Get involved. Get out of your comfort zone. Push a little harder. Be someone different, even if you have to fake it til you make it. You may find out that it will spark a fire in you and you may find a new meaning to this thing we call f3.

Thanks to all of you, as you each make me a better person. And thank you Chedda, for reaching out so many times and asking me to come along. I have enjoyed every minute of it. See you all in the gloom!
