Station 1: Celebrate each pax’ birthday

The pax circled up and went around telling each other’s birthday. The month of each pax birthday represented the exercise and the number of reps was dictated by the day of the month the pax was born. It felt like several pax’ were born on the 25th day or later each month! 10 reps were added to pax whose birthday was before the 10th day of the month, while some pax’ birthdays were on the 43rd and 50th days of the month.

January: Squats

August: Dips
September: Step-ups

None of the pax today had a birthday in June, August or September — so we did 15 reps of calf raises, dips and step ups to get to each month/exercise.

Slowsey over to hill at elementary school for dice workout.

Station 2: Dice workout

Each pax rolled the dice (die) and the number rolled represented the corresponding exercise listed below. 10 reps of each exercise were completed, followed by running up/down the hill after each set.

Dice:
1 – Hillbillies
2 – Stationary lunges
3 – ‘Mercans
4 – BBSU
5 – Calf Raises
6 – Sprint up/down hill (thankfully, both times a 6 was rolled, The Herd was at the bottom of the hill).

Indian run to end of elementary school parking lot.

Plank-o-rama while waiting on the 6.

Indian run to block pile.

Each pax collect 1 block and 2 bricks and circle up in parking lot.

Moleskin:  What a great turnout on a Saturday at Jumanji! 13 pax would garner The Herd 6 stars, but no stars are being awarded during Gauntlet Week.

(😁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😁)

The workout started off with Tardy coming in on two wheels giving YHC a hard time for starting the workout “early” and wanting to compare what time our watches were showing. After further review, our watches both showed the same time to the nanosecond. YHC began sharing the disclaimer and prayer around 6:29 and, according to Strava, began the workout at 6:30. [The defense rests.]

Good times were had by the pax with all of the celebratory exercises. Some pax made up their birthdays (October 24th — happy un-birthday, Knockoff!— March 43rd and June 50th), as well as sports teams that kept us from having any duplicates. Well done, Brothers!

T-claps to Knockoff for planting the Stampede #ShovelFlag in time for Mary and the COT. Aye!

And a warm #HoovesUp to YHC’s brother-in-law Clot from Macon, GA who was in town for the weekend. Appreciated him wanting to join The Herd along all the pax that came out to make him feel welcome. Aye!

6 pax enjoyed #ParkingLotCoffeeteria at the Dunkin’ / Bojangles afterwards.

Prayer requests:
Eve’s coworker
Swamp Thing’s family situation with aunt
Family of child at Springdale Elementary that passed away

Announcements:
The Gauntlet rolls on Monday with a stop at Jumanji for The Ark workout.
