30 Pax came out to celebrate a milestone in the gloom. 3-1/2 yrs ago (1212 days from today to be exact) I heard the words I will never forget- “Your son has cancer” Soul crushing words- I wept-I was shocked and I was angry. How? My healthy baseball playing son- sick? Cancer? Not my child. Today marks the third annual #PrayforBray WO led by Stitches. It has been a Detainee tradition for three years that he has been battling leukemia. We put in work for all the survivors, supporters, and for the ones who have left before us. Here is how it all went down

We couldn’t have gone through the last 3yrs without the support of our brothers of F3. Thumbs-Up from @F3Lex found us at a event and the EH’ing begun. Brayden and Wes had already been named at a convergence with his mom “Brewer” during a Convergence (F3-#F3Stitches>baseball player>baseball>chemo port placed, chemo port infected>chemo port removed>scar>chicks dig scars>Stitches -it remained) Wes (shows up in a tank top>easy>Muscles.) Six months later, I was Eh’d- Blue Rhino was established.
Prayers are free, but that EH and support you all have given us mean more than any work out we have ever done. Thank You and continue to pray as we move into the next chapter of this book of life. #morethanaworkout

When I got diagnosed with cancer 3years ago, my parents found this and read it to me. This helped get me through some tough times. Whenever I thought I couldn’t handle anymore I would think of this and kept pushing on.
“You either get bitter or you get better. It’s that simple. You either take what has been dealt to you and allow it to make you a better person, or you allow it to tear you down. The choice does not belong to fate-it belongs to you.”
Thank you for supporting me through these years. I appreciate all the prayers and support you have given me.
