Devotional: Reflections on 4 years

A little over 4 years ago, YHC gave this F3 thing a shot.  As the story has been told before, it was awful, not for me, and probably wouldn’t come back.  But 2 things happened that day.  I wasn’t sure what it was, but now it is clear. It was the 2nd and 3rd Fs.
COT and Name-a-rama provided a personal touch, and to be given a nickname, well it made me feel obligated to show up the following Tuesday.  This laid the foundation for the 2nd F, which at the time I didn’t know what that meant.
The second thing was the devotional after the workout.  That was the most impactful part of the morning.  Not only had I been physically beaten down, but there was no pretending that I was OK.  I needed to hear it. While it was physical strength I was seeking, it was Spiritual strength that I realized I needed.
Later I learned about how each F could be represented by a Magnet, Glue, and Dynamite.

I’ve witnessed the impact of all 3 over the past four years, the good times and bad, triumph and grief, but all of that has made me stronger.  For that I am grateful, and I hope to continue to share that strength and impact with others.

My charge to the pax was to extend the 2ndF to some fellow pax this week and encourage them to return to the gloom.
