The Bounty – turnarounds

13 pax arrived early this morning to brave the blazing heat wave that has crossed out small state.  Whenever YHC has nothing original to add to his Q, he does the only thing he knows.  Searches Google to see if someone else has something original.   i found a workout that was designed to supposedly make you run faster miles.  Does it actually work?  I have no idea.  What I do know is the workout was not fun and my hamstrings are tight now.   So I guess that means it did something.

Thanks for trying something new without complaints … except Heisenberg!

Conditions:  40 degrees and warm.  Shorts and T shirt weather.

The workout

400m of warm up around the track followed by TTT & Imperial Walkers 10 rounds IC.

This workout was designed as a turnaround workout.  You are supposed to run to a cone then turnaround and run back.  We had too many Pax for this to work.  Therefore we just ran a distance and stopped, then started again.  Here’s how it went:

Round 1 – Run 1000m.  Come to a complete stop every 100m and start again.
Round 2 – Run 1000m.  Come to a complete stop every 100m and start again.
Round 3 – Run 1000m.  Come to a complete stop every 100m and start again.
Round 4 – Run 800m.  Come to a complete stop every 100m and start again.
Round 5 – Run 600m.  Come to a complete stop every 100m and start again.
Round 6 – Run 400m.  Come to a complete stop every 100m and start again.
After all rounds we were just shy of 4 miles.   Mosey back to the flag.
