YHC was pretty pumped about all 5 lights being green on the way in this AM. Only slightly disappointed to find the Icehouse lot empty… not for loneliness or jealousy of the fartsackers, but because he wasted a rare on-time arrival.
Banjo and the baby seal made the best of their time together – flipping green portals, planning an eventual #UrbanLegend Q, and then grinding out rounds of amphitheater stairs for the last half-hour.
There at the top of the staircase from from Virginia Hylton Park back to the Amphitheater, was a white-painted stone with crimson markings. You’ve [hopefully] found them before – “Kindness Rocks.” This one from the good folks at Lexington First Baptist. The crimson markings were especially meaningful today, on account of currently reading through Numbers with Juice’s “F3 Bible Readers” group; and also a Sunday School study called “Jewish Foundations,” where we’re learning about the significance of blood sacrifices throughout God’s history with His people, and the importance that the blood of our Savior Jesus Christ bears in regards to bridging the permanent gap between a Creator and a fallen race.
Toting this small stone along the amphitheater rounds gave ample time to reflect and be thankful for a God that loves us this much. YHC left the stone in the vicinity – hoping it will provide the same reminder to many more.
