23 Turns and a Few Hills

The route was confusing. The turns were many. But, as per usual, the PAX of F3 Lexington crushed it.

#TCLAPS to the 5 PAX who came out this morning and destroyed YHC’s attempt to break them off. All runners came in under 8:30/mi paces. Well done!!

Conditions: 28 degrees and clear

A note on prayer requests:
YHC forgot to lift up these requests this morning in BOM. Got to thinking… this part of the Q shouldn’t be taken lightly (YHC is guilty). We need to seriously understand that these prayers matter, and that bowing our heads and appealing to our Lord means something. This isn’t just a “part of the routine.” Don’t make prayer routine, make it intentional, and meaningful. You don’t need fancy words or correct grammar, just be humble, earnest, and real.

Devo:
1 Peter 3:7
“In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.”

Had there been a few more PAX, YHC was going to take a poll: When was the last time you told your M you loved her, aside from ending phone conversations, or leaving the house? In the same vein, when was the last time you kissed her? Held her? When last did you do something to surprise her — like flowers or cook dinner?

Again, YHC is guilty on this count. There are some true HIM’s out there to whom this doesn’t apply. For the rest of us, follow their lead. Love and cherish your M.
