#Thunder, Junior Size

Where’d all the #Thunder pax go?  Once upon a time #Thunder was putting up regular #Problematic numbers but today all those #HIM’s must have needed their beauty rest.  Or perhaps they were all hedging their workout plan for BetaMax’s Thursday Q.  Whatever the reason, the masses were missed and the ocho of us stalwarts pledged to call out the missing members and restore #Thunder to its numerical glory.

Conditions:  36 degrees but really quite nice in the hollows of Hand.

Mosey to the Basketball court for a little warmup of:

  • SSH X 30, 4CT IC
  • Mountain Climbers X 30, 4CT IC
  • Mercans X 15, 4CT IC
  • Squats X 30, 4CT IC
  • LBC’s X 30, 4CT IC
  • Dips X 15, OYO

Mosey down the street and into Emily Douglas, down the hill to the amphitheater for a little ladder work as follows:

  • Broad Jump Up the Amphitheater
  • Bear Crawl Down the Amphitheater
  • 15 Big Boy Sit Ups, OYO
  • Rinse & Repeat dropping a BBSU with each rep down to 10
  • Hold 6 for the 6

Mosey to the playground for triple circuit of:

  • Pull Ups X 10, OYO
  • Carolina Dry Docks X 20, OYO
  • Squats X 30, OYO
  • Rinse & Repeat twice more for three full rounds
  • Plankorama

Mosey out the bottom end of Emily Douglas to Queen for a Burpee Jacobs Ladder.  It was at this point that the Q relented to the constant barrage of #MumbleHeckling and changed up the planned set to favor the pax.  It was also a clock monitoring call as the #Weinke was starting to appear aggressive for a 45 minute beatdown… so the following is what we did:

  • Up Queen Street to the street light, 15 Burpees
  • Down Queen to the manhold, 13 Burpees
  • Up Queen to the street light, 11 Burpees.
  • Etc, Etc. counting down to 5 by odd numbers
  • Hold 6 on the curb and then straight into
  • Russian Twists X 30, 4CT IC (#Crowdpleaser)

Mosey back to Emily Douglas for a singleton repeat of the original pullup circuit:

  • Pull Ups X 10, OYO
  • Carolina Dry Docks X 20, OYO
  • Squats X 30, OYO

Mosey back to the Amphitheater for a singleton of the amphitheater set:

  • Broad Jump Up the Amphitheater
  • Bear Crawl Down the Amphitheater
  • 15 Big Boy Sit Ups, OYO

Mosey back to the Basketball court for a reprise of the opening set (modified):

  • SSH X 10, 4CT IC (once the pax had assembled)
  • Mercan’s X 10, 4CT IC
  • Mountain Climbers X 10, 4CT IC
  • Squats X 10, 4CT IC
  • LB”A”C’s X 10, 4CT IC

Mosey back to the Shovel Flag and call it quits.

Devo by Adrian:  Reminder to live daily with bulkheads at each end of your day.  Dwelling on the past helps very little and harms much.  Being overconcerned about the future likewise can overwhelm us.  Today holds enough work and trouble for itself.  Live well, day by day, with an airtight seal on each end of the tasks for today.

  • F3Camden launch started weekday workouts today.  Give them some encouragement, as you can, and send everyone you know who lives out there to our newest F3SC plant.
  • The MGC LongRun is Saturday and there’s still time to sign up.  McLovin tweeted out a BOM plan for the little park on the corner of Lady & Main, 7:15 sharp.
  • Pyramid scheme is in effect for the restoration of #Thunder numbers.  If you can’t be at #Thunder on Thursday, you’re responsible for two HC’s in your stead.
