Road Trip to LES and Argyle Takes the Flag

F3’s mission is to “plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.” Last November, we planted a new Area of Operation we eventually named Urban Legend. A year later, a new leader has been invigorated. Welcome to the payroll, Argyle.

We took a little road trip to Lexington Elementary. Plenty to do over there. Here’s what went down:

-The genesis of this AO was about 3 years ago as Mac & YHC would run Stride and notice all the things we could do during a bootcamp in the area of Main Street. The original idea was run all around town (within close enough proximity to get back to the flag in 45 min, of course). We changed course a little with safety becoming imperative when Digits was tragically killed in December. Still so much to do while only crossing the street once or twice.
-We finally got a shovel flag today. Ranger came up with another beauty. The lack of SF is on me. The flag atop the 9/11 Memorial always flies so it was never a top priority. Glad to have one now, though. Thanks, Ranger.
-Wild Hog is an a prime example of what it means to modify. He’s been disadvantaged with a cast on his arm for a few weeks. He doesn’t let it stop him from posting. He either modifies to one-arm merkins or squats. Well done, WH.
-Today’s bootcamp featured almost 3 miles along with so many variations of merkin reps.
-It’s been a pleasure being the Site Q of UL. It’s truly a melting pot. We see pax from all over the region every Friday.
-See you fellas in a few months. Time for YHC to log some heavy miles.
