Blocks and Ladders

10 pax joined YHC for a couple of rounds of ‘blocks and ladders’ for his first visit at Arena. YHC had been told this was a solid group of pax that would handle anything thrown at them and they did not disappoint. Work was done, betterment was achieved, and mumblechatter was on point. Thanks for having me.

Mosey to the block pile and pick a good one. Back to the front parking lot for some ladder exercises:

1st Ladder: curls for the gurls x 10, run across the parking lot, burpees x 5; repeat until you work your way to 5 curls and 10 burpees (crowd pleaser to start)

2nd Ladder: kettle bell swings x 10, run across the parking lot, jump squats x 5; repeat until you work your way to 5 kettle bells and 10 squats

3rd Ladder: shoulder press x 5, run across the parking lot, merkins x 1; repeat until you work your way to 1 shoulder press and 5 merkins

4th Ladder: block squats x 5, run across the parking lot, plank jacks x 1; repeat until you work your way to 1 block squat and 5 plank jacks

Return the blocks to the block pile. Mosey – became a slowsey – back to the shovel flag.
