Too many teens find themselves without a home or a family, or have been exposed to Acute Childhood Experiences. The long term impact for these teens could be deep and damaging to their full-fledge God-given opportunity to experience life and to make a positive impression on their community.
For many of you, as young teens on the verge of adulthood, were afforded the opportunity to be a lackadaisical, trouble making, loafer of a teen boy, while having the luxury of strong male figures in your life to set you straight. For the young men of Palmetto Place, they dont have that opportunity. They have had to face the realities of life at a young age without the encouragement and guidance they need to make it. In many cases these teens are desperate for the opportunity to have stronger male role models in their life.
F3’s full impact doesn’t stop at the end of a workout (First F) or at a happy hour during the week (Second F). For the most meaningful impact on the individual and the community, the Third F is needed to be practiced in order for the entire value to be realized. You are needed!
Many of you have heard something about F3 Palmetto Place. Now is your chance to learn more. Come and see what we are achieving every Sunday for an hour. No special skills or traits needed. We just need your constant time and care. We need men just to have fun playing games with the teens. We need men who just ask the teens questions about their week and to show some words of encouragement that they otherwise might never have experienced. These kids are worth the time to get to know and to build a long term relationship with over time.
