The men of Detention were looking to start the month of February off with a bang and they did. 14 of them showed up and put in the work this morning to get better. Tardy chattered as always but no one really heard what he said. Blue Rhino aptly named our workout the Burn for Urn (slang for Erin, my wife) and we even did a few Curls for Candice (and the girls). All just a days work for the beasts of Detention.
The weather was pleasant, even by my wimpy standards. 46* and no rain + Stridelite = warm for the workout
After a one minute warning and a disclaimer, the workout went something like this:
Warm up
1 six count burpee IC
20 SSH IC
1 six count burpee IC
10 TTT IC (a Postal favorite)
1 six count burpee IC
10 Windmills IC
1 six count burpee IC
20 imperial walkers IC
5 six count burpees IC
Mosey to block pile, grab block, mosey to BB court.
The format for the workout was to get a total body burn with suicides as a recovery. Tardy had a hard time catching on but the pattern was chest-arms-abs-legs-suicide, changing up exercises each round. Except for CsforGs, you can never get too many of those.
10 merkins/incline merkins/decline merkins
10 Cs for Gs
10 BBSU/Iron crosses/LBCs/Boat-canoe
10 squats/jump squats
BB court suicide
Repeat until time is up
Some rounds we did more than 10 reps, never did less. Somewhere in there we did some OH presses just for Tardy.

– It has been an incredible experience to be AOQ of Detention but it’s time to pass it on. These men have taught me a ton and led me to grow physically and spiritually. That being said, Bar Crawl is the new AOQ of Detention. He is consistent, a great example, funny, and always a friend. He is going to do incredible things!
