So YHC signed up for his second go round of Qing an F3 Dads workout. Coming up with a workout for this is a bit challenging, but in a good way. You have to find something that isn’t to difficult for the 2.0’s but still challenging, something to keep them involved because Squirrel…wait what were we talking about? Spending time with 2.0’s and the value in spending quality time with them. YHC told story about an amazing experience he had with his 2.1 the other night. His 2.0 was spending the night with a friend, his 2.2 was already in bed sleeping, and his M was out with a friend. YHC spent about an hour just talking with his 2.1 about random things, such as dirt bikes, 4wheelers, Paw Patrol, Power Rangers, etc. After YHC put his 2.1 in bed and said a prayer, he always asks him what his favorite part of his day was. It usually revolves around going to the pool or playing with his friends, this time though it hit YHC right in the feels. YHC’s 2.1 said his favorite thing he did that day was spending time just talking with him about random things, having some one on one time with his Dad.
We are always caught up in the day to day things of life that sometimes we rush through times like bed time, YHCs 2.1 humbled him and made him think about how valuable his 2.0’s find that time that they get to spend with their Dad and it is something that YHC wants to work on. Work on slowing down and not letting the daily routine overtake time and make him miss out on this valuable time. YHC shared this quote from Barbara Bush:
“At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.”
