Weather Conditions: 64° with clear skies
7 pax stayed in town this week and were treated to a block beat down while many others are traveling for work or vacation. There were also a solid half dozen for StrideLite through the neighborhoods as well. Credit goes to today’s #WarDaddy, Soaker, for inspiring the morning’s exercise of choice, Napalms. DEVO: No other gods in His presence
We are all aware of the 10 Commandments, with the first one stating “You shall have no other gods before Me.” It’s easy to read this and think of it as a list, and as long as God is at the top you are good, or at least for a long time it was for me. When you take a deeper dive into the actual meaning, it is not referring to a list with God being number 1, it is saying you will have no other gods in His presence. And where it references other gods, it doesn’t necessarily mean something you put up on a physical alter. It could be any of the many things we idolize in life that draw our attention away from Him.
It is ok to enjoy the things He has provide for us, but don’t let those things distract you away from Him.
