IPC Week 4 – Finale

Last week of the IPC was welcome by YHC. Cooler temps that morning if I recall. Disclaimer given and prayer lifted at the flag at 5 am. Moseyed to the block pile to retrieve a block and proceed to the south end of the track.

Cones had been placed at 25, 50, 75 & 100 yds out into the field from this end of the track. Workout started with 10 burpees block jump overs, then move the block down to the first cone murder bunny style. If you are reading this and have no idea what murder bunny is, hang around, I’m confident they will make a return. At the 25 yd cone perform 25 thrusters. Carry block back to the starting point and perform 10 burpees block jump overs. Murder bunny to the 50 yd cone and perform  50 merkins with one hand on the block and one on the ground. Right and left hand on the block equals one rep, so it was essentially 100 mercans. Carry block back to starting point for 10 more burpee block jump overs. Murder bunny to the 75 yd cone and perform 75 curl presses. Carry block back for 10 burpees block jump overs and murder bunny to the 100 yd cone. Seated in AH position legs were raised to pass feet over block stood up on end and heels touched on opposite side of the block. Each heel touch was a rep. Carry block back to the start for 10 burpees block jump overs to complete the timed workout.

IPC was every bit the challenge it was billed to be. Mercan heavy it was quite a challenging 5 wks. Good times this year sharing the play list duties among the pax, watching Breakfast Club lead the way most days and the epic week 3 in the rain. Whether we admit it or not, the challenge moved us toward acceleration. Bring on the Gauntlet!
