#Ramble puts #Bullseye squarely on the #BRR

7 loyal and faithful pax posted to the muggy gloom at SPC for another installment of Monday #Ramble.  Would today’s workout hold a flat and fast speed interval sort of plan or would we take it to the hills?  With the #BRR now less than two months away YHC opted for hills.  We’ve all heard about the #Bullseye AO and it was time #Ramble paid that beast a visit.  Of course, that meant we had to travel over a mile just to get to the AO so the clock was set at 30 minutes AMRAP upon arrival at Blossom and Bull.  The goal?  Do as much as you possibly can and then hobble back to SPC.

Conditions: 78 and humid

The Thang: Field trip to the #Bullseye.  Depart SPC headed left down Devine Street.  Cross Harden and continue onto Saluda and then right on Blossom.  Give the pax the instructions as we make our way through 5-Points (to that point they still didn’t know).  Arrive at Blossom and Bull and commence 30-minutes of the #Bullseye – Travel up Bull Street and turn right onto Greene.  Turn right onto Pickens down the hill turning left onto Blossom.  Turn left onto Henderson Street and climb the hill to Greene.  Left on Greene and left on Pickens.  Down the hill and turn right onto Blossom arriving back at Blossom and Bull.  Rinse & Repeat AMRAP for 30 minutes.  Regather at the base of Pickens.  Run up blossom back into Shandon turning left on Woodrow and back to the parking lot.

Moleskin:

  • It was a lot of fun dropping in on the other pax at the #Bullseye and #theBull.  Those guys are flat out getting after it each and every Monday and it was a pleasure sharing in the suck for 30 minutes or so.
  • T-Claps to our guys too.  The idea behind today’s workout was to get a solid hill workout with a couple of miles worth of warm-up/cool-down.  We compressed the #Bullseye into 30 minutes and I’m really proud of our group’s effort and totals.  Two finished 4 full laps (yes, we borrowed an extra 42 seconds to do so) while the others solidly finished 3-3.75 laps (including two that were less than two days removed from a GRC).  Strong work today, fellas.  And it’s only Monday…

Announcements:

  • Q-School: Men, there’s a Q-School this Saturday in Greenwood and McLovin and Cornstache have the Q.  That said, they need help and hopefully it’s not too much to ask to drum up a handful of pax to make the drive with them.  You will never attend a Q-School and not walk away with something valuable.  It doesn’t matter how many you have attended in the past.  Also, McLovin and Cornstache need your feedback and input into the conversations.  They cannot do this alone and it would be a disservice to the pax in Greenwood if they tried.  Please get with them if you can attend.
  • Also, there is an open house at Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter TOMORROW evening.  A quick tour at 5:30 followed by dinner with the kids at 6:00.  Please check out the preblast here:Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter Open House Link
