Go Long or Go Home: Introducing the Stumble 10K

In the quest for a challenging, monthly PT test that’s unique to an AO, the pax of Stumble have run a couple of 5Ks. However, some other guys have that one pretty much locked down. So what does Stumble offer that’s different, other than a shovel flag with its own headlamp? Amble is first. Ramble is fast. Scramble is… well, they have great coffee. Stumble has… um.

  • Only run AO with a self-mocking name? Nope.
  • Only one with tons of hills? Nope.
  • 15-minute head start? Big-ole-red-pill CHECK.

With that in mind, YHC is proud to pre-blast the first running of the Stumble 10K.

This Wednesday, 1/13/16, Woodland Park, at 0515.

All pax are invited. Just set your alarm 15 minutes early and look for the aforementioned shovel flag.

The race will be run at more or less monthly intervals, and the progress of the pax will be tracked via spreadsheet (here’s the 5K results for reference). No doubt Beacon will come up with a suitable trophy.

Oh yeah, the route. TBD. Watch this space and the Twitternets. Be warned, though, that you can’t travel more than a couple miles from this AO without finding some hills, so don’t expect a milk run.

UPDATE: Here’s the route.

Hope to see you there.
