#Battle makes a run at #theMurph & #the300workout….#disclaimer

11 faithful including one FNG (Hog) posted to AC Flora for another rousing rendition of #Battle.  YHC announced Friday that the AO would see a rare solo-Q which probably led to at least a couple of questions amongst the pax.  The law was laid down quickly that men show up to #Battle to do work and so it would be on this day. This was #CSAUP in an hour.  Not easily attained but for these 11 there is a fresh #Battle scar to share.

Conditions: 70’s and extremely humid

The Thang:

Disclaimer given (mostly for our FNG).  Shovel Flag was grabbed and YHC reminded the pax that when in the presence of that flag they know hard work is about to be done and on this morning the flag would be with us for the entire hour.  Swift Mosey to #BattleLoop area; wait for instructions.

  • T-Claps to the #BattlePax for powering through this completely stupid but with a point workout.  One idea today was to measure improvement from last year’s running of this ridiculous beatdown.  Unfortunately the totals were exactly the same.
  • One key takaway – hydration is king.  We had a first at #Battle when YHC encouraged guys to step away and have some water if their bodies were telling them bad things.  This is something that can easily be made fun of but in these conditions it’s no laughing matter.  Listen to your body.
  • Strong showing by our FNG, Hog.  This dude hung in there the full hour.  He mentioned in COT that he’s been doing high intensity interval training for 4 years….”but this……”  YHC thinks he was a tad speechless.
