Leg Day at the Hollow

Weather Conditions: 65° & Windy

Yet another glorious, albeit windy morning in the gloom, this time with the men of the Hollow.  YHC took the opportunity to fill an opening on the Q sheet and travel to see the neighboring AO and check on the fitness level of its pax.  They of course did not disappoint and showed out with a strong effort all around.  Two arrived early for a Full Stride Lite, unaware of the looming leg workout that was about to be unleashed on them.  Props to those guys for getting after it!  The clock hit 5:15a, an early start for YHC, but it was time to roll.  As for the workout, here is how it went:

DEVO:  Chasing Winning

Here is what you should know about WINNING before you chase it.
Winning is not loyal to you.  It does not care about you.  Winning doesn’t care about how sore you are.  Winning does not care about how much sleep you get.  Winning does not care about how hard you work at times.  And sometimes other may not outwork you, yet they still win.  It isn’t fair.  Sometimes there is no justice.  Winning requires all of you, and then more… and it promises you nothing.  It’s a mastermind of creating fear and doubt in your mind.  It causes setback after setback.
So the question is about winning:  Are you willing to sprint when the distance is unknown?  Then why chase this thing called winning?  Because the only thing that is guaranteed in life if you don’t chase it is LOSING.
      – Coach Lew Caralla, Georgia Tech Strength & Conditioning

Winning does not have to be some pinnacle or grandiose event.  Each pax that posted this morning got a winning start to the day by beating the fartsack and striving for betterment.  Chasing winning is not a passive behavior, it takes effort and action to be successful.  Apply this winning effort toward your relationship with God, your spouse, family, etc., and don’t let the alternative dictate your results.
