Counting? WTF is Counting? Take 2

Still YCH’s nemesis

Conditions:

59 degrees. As Borat would say.. Very Nice!

Disclaimer/Warm up:

  • There was a (partial) disclaimer at least…
  • Maybe walking to get blocks counts as a warmup? (The complaints about lack of warmup have been taken under advisement, not promising I will do anything about it, but it’s under consideration. Regardless, don’t expect counting).

The Thang:

If it worked once, it should work again. Any good teacher doesn’t create a new lesson plan every time. So we did my VQ again.

Also, we randomly decided that the standard is six laps while the goal is still ten.

Four stations were set up around the big loop at Depot

  • Station 1 – 10 thrusters; 1 curl
  • Station 2 – 10 squat jumps; 1 monkey humper
  • Station 3 – 10 hand release merkins; 1 plank jack
  • Station 4 (the crowd pleaser) – 10 burpees; 1 big-boy sit-up

Each station was a version of “elevens” (i.e., lap two was 9 and 2, lap three was 8 and 3, etc.). Completing ten laps should add to around three miles and 55 of each exercise.

Finishers this time were Tentpole, STH, and Soccer Mom. Very impressive!

COT/BOM/End Q

MOLESKIN

Depot has really been on a roll recently, and I was humbled to see that continue into today’s workout. Thank y’all for showing up and giving it your all. Let’s finish this month strong on Thursday with the return of the Hostel Q!

I will mention that I considered changing the workout with possible themes being either college football related or, since Depot is a polling place, government related. As the first option would be OSU related and the second is probably better not discussed, those ideas were scrapped to cut down on complaining.

Speaking of college football, I did see yesterday that the most points scored in a game by one team was 222. That is nuts. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1916_Cumberland_vs._Georgia_Tech_football_game). Apparently, the losing teams quarterback “was thrice carted off with concussions.” Yikes. Anyhoo, I am glad college football is back, as it gives something else for Soft Toss to give me s**t over.

So Go Bucks!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Big props to Roll Tide for 3 consecutive boot camps! Keep it up.
  • Special edition of handball tonight at 8 at Depot.
  • Contact Moose if you are interested in helping plan the 2021 version of the Cottonmouth.

TL;DR

Work was done. Warmup was not.
