Bros bond with burpees

The morning started off pretty dang good. 3 dudes headed out for stride lite while 3 dudes remained behind for the rock. It was a beautiful, clear, crisp morning. Runners returned safely and the rockers had rocked out and took their place in the circle. Dudes chillin’, dudes laughing, and then Brick reminds YHC of the Q to start in 3 minutes or so. Well, that changed everything. How did YHC forget about the Q? Let’s rewind the previous 72 hours.

A wedding rehearsal for the youngest offspring of this fertile dude had taken place on Friday. Good times, good memories. Family was in from various parts of the country and converged upon Lexington, SC.

Saturday morning arrived and nothing, not a little rain, not a little wedding, was going to keep me from the 8-year anniversary for F3 Lexington. Priorities, men, will keep you on the narrow path. Saturday night rolled around, the wedding was spectacular and YHC slow-danced, hip-hopped, line danced, boot scoot and boogied his way through the reception. Dance moves were seen that would have made Dunphy proud. My greatest slow dance was with my M who looked beautiful, but the greatest dance of all time was with my granddaughter during Friends in Low Places. What a special night.

The phone was left in my dresser on Sunday so YHC could recover and relax. The phone was left in a desk drawer on Monday so YHC could be productive. Twitter was not checked, group texts were muted, I was in solitude. Then Brick drops the hammer…you have the Q, Soaker.

Okie dokie, always willing, always prepared. Here we go.

1 minute warning according to my watch (everyone else was a minute slow), disclaimer, no FNG’s, opening prayer started, stopped, and resumed once the knuckleheads quieted down.

Mosey a quick lap around 2 parking lot islands and end up where we started. This is a repeat from 2 Saturdays ago.

Recover.

It was fun. All of the pax really seemed to enjoy themselves. They love burpees so this may be repeated again, with a twist. Bear crawl around the parking lot in honor of Cheers.

Announcements:

Race against hunger this weekend.

April 23 – convergence at the Hollow for a Blue Bloods special.

Prayer requests:

Pax and others with cancer.

Close in prayer.

Devo: Short and sweet. Picture your life like the rim of a bicycle with Jesus being the hub and you and the M being spokes. The closer you are to the hub, the closer the spokes are together. Live it out.
