YHC had to modify from his own route… Butler Hill killed him. One thing he forgot to mention to the pax as part of his disclaimer/safety review is to NOT run alone… which is what he did because he was too stubborn to wait for Pax behind him.

The admission of running alone was a perfect segue into my devotional and it had all to do with the community that F3 has created if (and only if) you are willing to tap into it. Doing this life alone (like running) is not only boring… it is dangerous. Living life alone leads to addictions of all sorts, isolation, which often leads to even more destructive behavior. The hardest thing to do sometimes when we as men are in the cycle of shame is to reach out because we feel alone… and no one will understand. Believe you me, there are men who understand what you’re going through.. be it alcohol, drugs, pornography… you are not alone and you do not have to live this life alone. Jesus had 12 of his closest friends with him. He didn’t need them being God.. but it was an example of how much we need close friends in our lives.
Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone.. It’s heavy. but it’s with you.. all the time. Use it. Early and often before you make that bad choice.
