You know what dicey weather brings to The Hollow…

Today was going to by my 2.0’s co-VQ with me.  Monster Jam went to a Saturday workout a couple weeks back and mentioned something about leading some of the exercises.  Since yesterday was his birthday, I thought it’d be a good idea to let him do a VQ, co-Q, Birthday Q all in one.  I didn’t realize he would be having some of his friends sleep over, not go to bed until at least 2:00 AM, and it’d be raining all morning.  With that an audible was called and I led the workout solo.

I brought my dice game again.  It’s a good one to have for the rainy days where you want to stay dry and not travel too far.  Here’s how it went down…

1 minute warning, disclaimer, no FNGs, prayer

Mosey to the block pile, snag one, and make your way around to the courtyard’s breezeway.   Pick a dry spot and listen to YHC explain the game…

There were 6 dice – 2 red, 2 green, 2 blue.  Each color had a 6-sided die that would decide the exercise.  Each color also had a 12/20/100-sided die that would decide the reps.  We took turns rolling the dice and doing the exercises.  After everyone rolled we would “tailgate touch” run to the back of Dangle’s truck and back.  We managed to get around the PAX 2 times (16 rounds total).  Some exercises were rolled multiple time while some were never rolled.  The layout of the dice and exercises were…

    • 1 – balls to the wall

    • 3 – calf raises
    • 4 – block bent over rows
    • 5 – block overhead presses
    • 6 – toilet seat block squats

When time was up we returned blocks and met back under the breezeway for the count-o-rama, announcements, prayer.
