18 pax rolled out of the #fartsack this morning and into the gloom to join YHC in celebrating one year at Turning Point. As I was planning the THANG for this post, I thought maybe it needed to be something big, something different. Then I realized “that’s not Turning Point”, we just need a good ole fashion TP beat down! And that is exactly what went down.
Condition: 72° with humidity so thick you could cut through it with a knife

It was great to see so many familiar faces in the gloom this morning, some of which it seems forever since I have seen them. Thanks for coming and celebrating TP’s 1 year anniversary with YHC. Most of all thank you to all of the pax that post TP, especially those whom have made it their home AO. There was a time when YHC thought about blowing the whistle, packing it up and heading back over to another AO, but the Lord was telling me to stay persistent because there were men out there just like YHC that needed F3 and, quite frankly, F3 needed them. The journey has been life changing.
It has been an awesome thing watching this AO grow into what it has become. Sure, it’s not the biggest AO, but that is part of the beauty of it. It’s a core group of men that have formed a foundation at TP that now attracts others. All credit goes to those pax who post at Turning Point weekly and have developed it as their own. I have seen guys transform physically and do things they never thought was possible. I have seen guys step up and lead workouts that I heard personally say they could never do it. I have seen friendships develop that may have never started had it not been for Turning Point and F3. I have seen spiritual growth in guys that continues to renew my faith that God is very much present in this world. I have witnessed men become leaders and push each other to be the best they could be in all that they do, whether it be at home as a better husband and dad, work as a better leader or co-worker, or church as an active member of the body of Christ. I consider myself blessed to be a part of it and I am humbled and honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with each one of my brothers after each workout. Without the pax, F3 is just another functionality key on a keyboard. T-claps to each and all of you!
The joke out there is that F3 is some sort of cult with crazy nicknames and ridiculous events. I don’t think anyone can truly understand the real purpose of F3 until they get to witness it as I have the past year. Sure, I read Freed to Lead and it is an awesome, well-written book that helps explain the purpose of F3. Though I read it, the purpose of F3 never truly “sunk in” until I witnessed it day in and day out with my own eyes. F3 is certainly no cult. It is a way of life. It is a band of brothers that, as I spend more time getting to know, gives me hope to what is out there in this crazy world. Three words: I AM BLESSED.
