Stride Strava Art – The Mushroom

YHC has been struggling with my running the last couple months.  I blame it on the wicked COVID.  Well it gets blamed for everything else, right.  I signed up a couple weeks back when Stride was calling out to fill open slots.  With that I came up with a couple Strava Art routes – one which was run today.  And the other next Friday.  Yes, I signed up to Q again – funny how that works.

The Mushroom is a 5.8 mile route around Lexington.  You have to pass the starting point about halfway through, which is definitely a teaser as you come up along the Admin Building.  A few did some XL miles before and after.

Weather: soggy, just rained, but no rain for the hour

• • Start at intersection of Maiden and S. Lake
  • Onto Maiden (towards Icehouse)
  • L onto S. Church (at stop sign)
  • S onto Gibson (at merge)
  • L onto S. Lake (Hwy 6)
  • R onto Main Street (Hwy 1)
  • L onto Taylor (after Rhoten’s)
  • R onto Harmon (at stop sign)
  • L onto Dreher (at stop sign)
  • S onto Columbia Ave (thru stop light)
  • S onto Main (thru stop light)
  • L onto Thompson (before LMC)
  • L onto Hendrix (at stop sign)
  • L onto S. Church (at stop sign)
  • R onto Maiden (at stop light)
  • Finish at intersection of Maiden and S. Lake

We finished up with the COT, announcement, prayer, and some famous sports quotes.
