5 PAX got out of their fartsacks to a gloomy rain mist Graveyard for some GORUCK training. Mosey to track and circled for a short warm up. YHC explained the routine for the first lap of SUCK to the PAX. Each lap was divided into 4 movements and an exercise in between. PAX eased into first lap with walking lunges then go on all fours for bear crawls. Mumble chatter was at a minimum due to all the huffing and puffing from the bear crawls. The Back’ard Bear Crawl was the most unnatural move ever devised. Lap 2 was not any faster. Crab Crawl became a BUTT SCOOCH RACE. Mumble chatter was flowing now since we were upright and able to breathe. Someone in the gloom even mentioned their wrist hurting and sending me their Chiro bill. Discomfort and Pain is NOT an injury. I wonder how Cadre Geoff would have responded to that chatter, maybe some “SPECIAL ATTENTION”.
PAX attempted to complete 4 laps of “GOOD LIV’IN” to complete mile but due to time, squeezed a jog around the track for lap 3. YHC underestimated the time suck and EQUALIZING POWER of the CRAB CRAWL/BUTT SCOOCH. GOOD JOB EMBRACING THE SUCK by the PAX!
