Farmer Carry Extravaganza

YHC had an idea for a workout but it depended on how he felt after SL. 5 studs showed up to run in slightly humid conditions with one really nasty hill. It was a good run so YHC decided no running in bootcamp. We would carry blocks around instead.

A little backstory. The M was out with a friend last night and I had the honor of keeping my little Jenny Darlin’ for the night. We hit up the park, duck pond, Menchies, Walmart, and watched some classic Tom & Jerry before going to bed. It was a great night. How do top that? Well, you don’t, but a close second is hanging out with some of Lexington’s finest gentlemen, in the dark, running on unlit streets, listening to middle school jokes, fighting a little bubble gut, and sweating profusely. Not a bad morning.

SL was over and it was time for the main event.

1 minute warning (exactly 1 minute), disclaimer of sorts, no FNG’s, open in prayer.

Mosey to the block pile and pick a friend.

Head over to the sidewalk by the upper soccer field, then circle up.

SSH x 15 IC, Michael Phelps x 10 IC, TTT x 10 IC.

Partner up for the thang.

125 curls for each pax, then partner 1 starts to farmer carry towards the tree line on the county line (lower soccer fields). Partner 2 drops and does 20 merkins the runs to partner 1 to flapjack. Continue this fun until the tree lines are reached where each pax will do 125 curls and then return to the far sidewalk in the same manner in which they traversed the soccer fields the first time.

This was so much fun we did it again. The only change was each pax did 100 OH presses instead of curls. Yep, another trip to the tree line and back.

Blocks were returned and we headed back to the shelter for some frozen Freddy’s and flutter kicks.

Recover and return to the flag.

Devo – Love your wife as Christ loves the church. He is our example of what love looks like. Think of you and your wife as spokes on a wheel and Jesus as the hub. The closer you are to Him, the closer you are to each other.
