Lexington Burpie Block Tour – 1st Stop Jumanji

YHC decided he wanted to do something different to start out the summer. He had an idea to go on tour in June and hit all the Lexington AOs but had to come up with something the the PAX would enjoy and could do at their own pace. Something that would be hard for some and would also something that could welcome FNG’s. So he begin watching, thinking and practicing. Finally came up with Burpies with Blocks, well sort of. This started with a simple burpie and merkin with a block, then he decided to add a little more for more of a full body exercise.

YHC’s first trip to Boneyard got cancelled due to an unexpected circumstance so he had to reschedule. So we started the tour with Jumanji. There was a little bit of chatter when the email came out about YHC coming. They were worried about baby arm circles and had no idea what was in store. Well baby arm circles weren’t even on the plan but when you poke the bear, he delivers.

After a night of Thunder Storms YHC was worried boot camp would be cancelled and he would have to postpone yet again the start of his tour. Sounds like the Thunder Storms stopped about 4:00 AM and things were looking up.

On to Jumanji, it was nice to see the regulars as well as some new faces. We even had a Pajanimal sighting. Well YHC had to lour him out but came.

Disclaimer
I made sure the PAX knew that today was on them and at their own pace and to do what you can. They were the first stop of the tour so we needed to try things out, and mold a model for the rest of Lexington to enjoy.

COP
SSH – 25 IC
Baby Arm Circles each way – 25 IC – Well we had a late comer at about rep 15, so I instructed the PAX to keep going but stop counting until Alter Boy made it to the circle. And we started counting again starting at 16. We have have gotten 45 or so forward but who knows.
Carolina Dry Docks – 25 IC
Windmill – 25 IC
TTT – 25 IC
Big Arm Circles each way – 25 IC

Mosey over to brick pile the long way around the parking lot
Grab a Block and circle up

YHC showed the exercise
We would start the a Burpie form and while the Block was on the ground we would do 1 merkin, come up 1 squat, then up to 1 shoulder Press
2 Merkins, 2 Squats, 2 Shoulder Press
so on and so forth to 20
We talked about if we should start at 20 and work our way down but what was planned was good. This set the standard for things to come.

For those Counting, if you finished we completed 210 Merkins, Squats, Shoulder Press’s. Not too bad

After most PAX were completed we had about 5 min left…We would have been cheating ourselves if we didn’t get in some Calf Raises. So mosey over to the baseball fields.
3 Minutes of Calf raises finished us off nicely.

Kudo’s to all PAX for the effort this morning and swallowing the Red Pill and deciding to get better despite the weather. After this morning there were more suggestions and ideas that I will be adding to this tour. I may have to come back to Jumanji just so they aren’t left out of these new and exciting changes, since they did help come up with them.
