A record setting 17 pax posted for the Beep Test. There was quite a stir about the beep test on twitter last night. With this much hype, YHC would have to post regardless of how sick he felt.

PRAYER
THE THANG:
mosey over to the beep test lot and do a warm up lap.
Since there are so many people, we need to split into two groups by speed, I believe Quisenberry referred to the first group as the “linebacker” group. When your group isn’t doing the test, either warmup up for your test or warm down from your test.
start on the line, run to the next line which is 20m away, wait for the beep, when you hear the beep, run back, repeat until you can’t make it to the line before the beep.
Results are posted here
Next mosey over to cemetery hill.
For the remainder of the time, sprint to the second lamp post, then mosey back down, repeat. about 6 minutes worth I believe.
THE END
Moleskin:
Excellent job today by everyone, but there were some particular moments that stood out.
Quest was toward the beginning of stage nine and thought he had reached his limit, he ran through the line, not turning around for the next sprint. The Pax yelled some words of encouragement and he found his second wind, turning around, starting late, but making a mad dash for the line anyway. He not only made that beep, but the next few, and ran until he had a “true fail” instead of a “give up.” (I must admit, I almost always give up when I think I hit my limit, this should be a lesson for all that we probably have a couple more in us)
Meatball, Candy Stripe, Treadmill and Quisenberry all had pretty significant increases in their score from their last time. Many other Pax also had improvements.
I don’t think I’d ever met Penny Pincher before but the kid can run! 13.1 for the first time out is best we’ve ever seen.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Beep test is a good way to measure your progress, but running groups are how you progress. Stride meets Monday at the Stadium then Wednesday & Friday behind the Magistrate court in downtown Lexington. Stampede meets Wednesday and Friday in the parking lot (I forget the name of the shopping center, someone help me out) on the corner of State Street and Knox Abbott Drive.
Still taking alternates for the P200.
They are taking hard commits for the Run Hard Half/Full marathon which is in March.
Parkland Plaza in Cayce.
THATS it Parkland Plaza. it was on the tip of my tongue
