Charity Challenges – 2018 1,000 Mile Challenge

A couple of years ago Jar Jar convinced a bunch of PAX across F3Nation to join him in a pushup challenge through the Charity Challenges organization. For 3 months we logged pushups with the goal of completing 10,000; 20,000; or 30,000 pushups individually and earning the highest team total. It is probably the one and only time in my life I have had any semblance of upper body muscle tone…plus, I got a sweet patch from Charity Challenges for reaching my goal!

Let’s do it again, but this time as a year-long running/rucking challenge. Charity Challenges is currently accepting registrations for their 2018 1,000 Mile Challenge. All the information you need can be found at this link: 1,000 Mile Challenge.

Cost for the challenge is $20 (includes patch), or $10 if all you want is a virtual patch. Patches are awarded for your highest goal achieved (goals are 300, 700, and 1,000 miles). The charities that are benefited from this challenge are the Green Beret Foundation & Team RWB.

YHC envisioned this as an AO team event, but you can set up your team however you like. Information for setting up your team can be found here: Team FAQs. The person that creates the team is by default the team leader and manages who joins the team.

With Palmetto200 training swinging into full gear, miles should be easy to come by early on in 2018. YHC is hoping that this challenge will motivate PAX to continue logging miles as the year rolls on.
