Burpicide

In 1930 an American physiologist named Royal H. Burpee developed the Burpee test as a part of his PhD thesis…at least according to Wikipedia.  Millions of people in the years since have come to rue the day Dr. Burpee had this brilliant idea, but it has helped us all to #getbetter.  This is YHC’s least favorite exercise as no matter how far you come, it can still leave you out of breath, meaning its probably working.

Run to the intersection of Briarfield Rd. and Ila Ln.

10 Burpees, 15 Sweat angels(like a SSH but on the ground), 15 carolina dry docks

Run to the intersection of Briarfield and Landrum Dr.

9 Burpees, 15 sweat angels, 15 merkins

Run to the intersection of Landrum Dr and Oak Hill Rd.

8 Burpees, 15 sweat angels, 15 squats

Run to the intersection of Oak Hill Rd. and Reamer Ave.

7 Burpees, 15 sweat angels, 15 wide arm merkins

Run to the intersection of Oak Hill Rd. and Ravenwood rd.

6 Burpees, 15 sweat angels, 15 imperial squat walkers(both legs count as 1)

Run to the intersection of Oak Hill Rd. and Hillstar Ct.

5 Burpees, 15 sweat angels, 15 slumdogs

Run to the intersection of Oak Hill Rd. and Satchelford Rd.

From there we entered the Satchelford parking lot for the meat of the workout.  Lining up in the middle of the parking lot in a line stretched across it, the PAX were instructed to perform a Burpee suicide.  Starting at the middle and going out by one parking space line at a time performing a burpee at each line.  Once the edge was reached, a sprint around the outside of the lot down oak hill and satchelford was done with flutter kicks for those that finished first.  Next up PAX came back to the middle line and did 2 burpees per parking space line.  Sprint around at the end.  Once all had finished, we headed for the intersection of Satchelford Rd and Shannon Springs road.
