It’s the first Friday of the month, thus it was time again for #Amble’s monthly 5k. YHC decided to mix things up a little today by doing a different 5k route than the traditional Blossom to Five Points 5k route. Great crowd on hand with a Baker’s Dozen posting in the #gloom.
Conditions: Cold, but felt good. Coldest morning of the year so far.
The Thang:
Warm up lap around parking lot
Right onto Millwood
Right onto Daly
Right onto Devereaux
Left onto Kilbourne
Cross over Beltline
Turn around at Sanford Drive and head back
Total Distance: 3.1 miles

Moleskin:
-YHC always forgets that Kilbourne from Sanford to Devereaux is indeed a deceptive grade. Not steep at all, just deceptive. When running up the Kilbourne Hill, you always think the hill ends at Brennan, but not exactly. So….call it a “mostly flat” & fast 5k.
-Strong work by all today. Come run with #amble, and it’s indisputable that #amble pax are getting faster and pushing harder. All pax are strongly encouraged to keep track of their monthly 5k time as a yard stick of their progress.
-Solid crowd at Egg’s Up Grill for #coffeeteria.
