Tookiedoo Block Party

Conditions: 32 degrees, clear and brisk.Apparently feeling sorry for their country cousin, the pinkie-raising, upper-crust Camden PAX turned the reins over to YHC for Saturday’s Q.  Unsure how to handle himself while in the presence of such blue bloods, YHC stayed true to his Toookiedoo roots and decided repeatedly picking up and putting down heavy objects, just like life out in the country, was the way to go.THE THANG:

  • Mosey and Circle-Up with the requisite Disclaimer.
    • YHC encourage PAX with award for best Mumblechatter.
  • Grab some tiny blocks, AKA bricks, and begin the warmup.
    • 15x side straddle hops IC with bricks
    • 10x merkin rows IC with bricks
    • 15x LBAC IC w/ hold using bricks
    • 10x side lunge presses using bricks
  • Using the bricks, enjoy the melodious sounds of Moby while performing “Sally Up/Sally Down”:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6A2V9Bu80J4
    • On the command up, stand up and press bricks overhead
    • On the command down, low squat with bricks in the front rack.
    • Total of 31 continuous reps were willingly performed by the PAX in 3:30.  Fun was had by all.
  • Double column Indian run with bricks down to CES and back with rally for six as needed
    • 1st rally – plank/side-planks
    • 2nd rally – high and low planks
    • 3rd rally – overhead press
    • 4th rally – brick air squats
  • Once the warm-up was complete, return bricks and mosey to tennis courts:
    • Sideline to sideline reps of:
      • Inchworms down/run back
      • Burpee broad jumps down/run back
      • Bear crawl down/run back
      • Crab walk down/run back
    • Then time for mountain climbers 5-ways:
      • MCs 10x IC
      • 1-sided MCs 10x IC then flapjack sides
      • High-leg MCs 10x IC
      • Spidermans MCs 10x IC
      • Corkscrew MCs 5x IC
  • Mosey over to fenceline, grab some coupons, then time for a Tookiedoo Block Party.  After circling up, perform
    • 15x block swings and 15x block curls – hold plank for six
    • 15x block thrusters and 15x berkins – hold plank for six
    • 15x over-block burpees and 15x block rows – hold plank for six
    • Partner up and perform:
      • P1 double block farmers walk around tennis court while P2 holds dead bug.
      • Flapjack
    • Then back to block party for 10x block swings and 10x block curls – hold plank for six.  It was at this point YHC noticed a marked decrease in Mumblechatter.
    • 10x block thrusters and 10x berkins – hold plank for six
    • 10x over-block burpees and 10x block rows – hold plank for six.
  • Mosey back to fence to gently and lovingly return blocks to proper starting position and rally for core Tabata as cool-down.
    • Tabata of 4x :20 on/:10 off of alternating Supermans and hollow rocks

COT. BOM. Announcement: remember the Elliott family who experienced loss of loved one. Then off to Coffeeteria.  Special thanks to the PAX for putting up with YHC and his love of embracing the suck.  Congrats to Cornwallis for willing the “William Jennings Bryan Golden-Tongued Orator Award” for his comment involving stamina and number of repetitions he is able to accomplish in intimate settings.  Well played, sir.
