Conditions: Muggy and Steamy. Very muggy and steamy. 72 degrees.On Sunday night I asked the PAX if anyone was interested in an “off the books” circuit run on Monday morning to start the week off on the right foot. Crickets. Nothing but crickets. Stats did show up and we had so much fun on Monday morning that I decided the whole PAX should have another opportunity for a circuit run. And I even threw in some block work for good measure.Everyone has their thing…..blocks, LBCs, burpees, etc. I like stay on the move and not give the mosquitos a chance to eat us for breakfast. I like to, as the great REO Speedwagon once sang, Keep on Rollin’ during a workout. - I continue to be impressed with the progress this group has made in the past four months. Three months ago there would have been a great deal of merlot spilled.
- We’ve come a long way from those cold January and February mornings. The humidity definitely takes its toll and it doesn’t appear it will get better for some time.
- It occurred to me this morning that our regular PAX covers FIVE different “age decades”….some in our 20s, some in our 30s, some in our 40s, some in our 50s and one in his 60s. That’s pretty awesome. Despite the age differences, we are all there for a common goal and to hold one another accountable.
- Attendance is still strong despite the heat and summer vacation. This is a great sign that the PAX has no intention of letting up.
- As always, it’s an honor to lead such a fine group of men, and I look forward to the next opportunity!
