Good Q, Good Tunes from Good Hands

15 Pax showed up for Good Hands’ circuit training this morning.  The 2nd greatest American band provided the tunes.  A few pax were disappointed that Nickleback and Creed didn’t make the rotation.  Maybe next time…JK.  It was great to see an “almost FNG” out there – Jason Hulion aka Dookie. Hopefully he will come back.  Here’s what went down…

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Matthew 6:14-15 NIV

One of the hardest things for a man to do is forgive. Imagine forgiving a parent for a lifetime of neglect or abuse or unreasonable expectations or coldness or whatever. Or forgiving a spouse for what seems like the same sin over and over and over again. Or forgiving a friend for something he doesn’t even perceive to be sinful. All of these are tough. But God says we don’t have a choice.

I just read it “But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

I encourage you to do whatever you can to make amends. Even if you are not the wrong doer. Write a note, send an email, pick up the phone, invite that person to lunch. Do what you can to let them know they are forgiven, and you love them and you care enough to put yourself out there and potentially risk the entire relationship because that’s what we are commanded to do. I would be willing to bet that every single person here today had someone pop into their minds when I was reading this. Do it! Talk to them. Let them know how you feel.
