Celebrate Good Times with Brothers, Blocks, and Bricks

YHC celebrates 48 trips around the sun today. No better way to celebrate than with F3 brothers in the gloom. This morning reminded me about my time in the womb. Warm and humid. It was good to get out in both cases.

F3 is a great way to start off a day and another year of life. Good health is not taken for granted and neither is the brotherhood found at Shawshank. Being serenaded by Ken Doll is special, Good Hands, Cheers, and Coon Dog breaking down country hits, Garth, Doc Luvin’, and Knozit pushing through the workout like thoroughbreds, Grave Digger leading the pack, and Buzz Saw (my special buddy) trading blocks with me and giving me the no-handle, double core coupon for the aged. What a pal.

Weather: Low 60’s and humid as water-filled amniotic sack.

1 minute warning, disclaimer, no FNG’s, opening prayer.

Question posed to the pax: Blocks or no blocks? They voted blocks so off we went.

Head to the pile and grab a coupon and 2 bricks.

COP:

SSH x 48 IC, TTT x 10 IC, Michael Phelps x 10 IC (improper form per Uncle Ron).

Thang:

Round 1 – 5 blockees, 25 curls, 25 bent over rows, 25 squats. Put the block down, pick up the 2 bricks and run to the far end of the field for 25 lateral raises and 25 merkins.

Rinse and Repeat – 3 times.

Round 2 – 5 blockees, 25 chest presses, 25 bbsu’s, 25 flutter kicks (2ct). Run to midfield with 2 bricks for 25 lateral raises and merkins.

Rinse and Repeat – 2 times.

Return blocks and bricks.

Mosey to the flag for 90 seconds of people’s chair.

Recover.

Announcements:

This weekend – Lexington Race Against Hunger (10K) – info somewhere.

Prayer requests:

Buzz Saw’s sister (maybe cousin) hip surgery today.

Notebook, No Show, Slim Jim, Spackle, Deebo’s 2.0.

Lego – continued prayer for family. His dad back in hospital.

Closing prayer.

Devo: Lamentations 3:21-23: But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Good reminder that he is all we need every day and gives each day exactly what we need.
