Devo- The M and I recently taught on this in Sunday school with the election, with Covid and everything going on. Essentially answering the question- Where does our hope lie and what should we as Christians be doing during these crazy times…?
Here are 5 takeaways we discussed (not an all-inclusive list):
- God is sovereign- this is ALL.OVER.THE.BIBLE… nothing is surprising God. His hand is in this, all of this…. What if we really, really believed that…. all the time? That is where our hope is… not with a human in an elected position. Rev. 21:6, Colossian 1:16, Romans 11:33, Jeremiah 32:17, Psalm 103:19 just to cite a few
- We are called to pray for our leaders and people in authority. 1 Timothy 2:1-2
- We are called to honor our leaders.- Romans 13
- It is our job to love our neighbor- Luke 10:27
- Be careful what we say- James 3:3-10
