Today was a good morning for a good workout at BeechHouse. I figured I’d take a one of my block routines over there and let the P200 legs rest a bit longer. We got it some leg work though – along with arms, abs, and a few beers on the wall.
Weather: great (except for the pollen)
- 1 minute warning, 30 second warning (for Kiffin who ran up late, half dressed), intro, disclaimer, prayer
Mosey towards the left side of the school for some warmup exercises:
- 15x SSHs IC
- 15x Michael Phelps IC
- 15x Air Squats IC
Continue the mosey to the block pile, snag one, and meet back up in the parking lot. We did a 10, 20, …, 100 block routine and mixed in some Beers on the Wall. ZZ Top was the music of choice. There was one non-ZZ Top song in the mix. Catch was the first PAX to call out the artist got to rest whichever set we were on. I think She Shed really wanted to rest because he shouted out the artist super fast (full artist name and song name at that).
Anyway, here is what we did…
- First block exercise is 10x Block Jump Burpees
- 10 bottles of beer: The PAX line up side-by-side, plank, relay merkin 10 pieces of PVC down the line where you grab a piece of pvc with your right hand, merkin, roll it to you left hand, merkin, pass it to the guy on the left, get another from your right. Rinse and repeat until all pieces were passed down. Set one piece off to the side.

- 9 bottles of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
- Next block exercise is 30x Block Bear Hug Squats
- 8 bottles of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
- Next block exercise is 40x Block CFTGs
- 7 bottles of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
- Next block exercise is 50x Block Toilet Squats
- 6 bottles of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
- Next block exercise is 60x Block Overhead Presses
- 5 bottles of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
- Next block exercise is 70x Horizontal Block Feet Overs
- 4 bottles of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
- Next block exercise is 80x Block Sumo Squats
- 3 bottles of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
- Next block exercise is 90x Vertical Block Feet Overs
- 2 bottles of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
- Last block exercise is 100 yards Overhead Block Carry to the block pile to return blocks
- 1 bottle of beer (with the pvc going back the other way)
We collected the goodies and mosied to the front of the school. We used the remaining couple minutes for some:
- People’s Chair – arms down, arms out, arms up, arms out, arms down, recover

- People’s Chair – arms down, arms out, arms up, 20 raise the roofs oyo, recover
