62 pax, including 3 FNG’s, showed up to plant the shovel flag at Lexington’s newest AO, “The Hollow”. YHC rolled in shortly before 5:00 to set out a few cones and to my surprise, there was already about a dozen or so cars parked in the “overflow” lot across from the soccer field. Surely these weren’t OUR guys. So YHC (and Mayhem) moseyed over to see what the fuss was all about. By the time we got to the group, there were 5-10 more cars rolling in. These men were lively I tell ya, and by the time the convoy stopped, there stood a BOM of 62 strong. All were there to #GetBetter…. And they did just that. Welcome to “The Hollow”.

Today was everything YHC hoped it would be… strong numbers, hard work, expert-level #mumblechatter and a lot of fun. YHC continues to be blown away by the level of commitment and support the men of F3 Lexington possess. They consistently show up and leave everything they’ve got out there. We may have spent the first morning in one location, but rest assured there is plenty of room to roam out there. YHC encourages all of you to get on the “Q List”. You all will play a huge part in the early stages of getting this AO going. Remember… it’s YOURS so make it YOURS. A special thanks to Mayhem for the assist today, and for being one of those guys that provides a constant “push”, and offers words of encouragement. -Pray for YHC’s friends, “Wayne” and “David”. One is fighting bone cancer and one is in ICU waiting for a liver transplant.
-All other unspoken prayer requests. We all carry a load, but some shoulder the load in silence. They need you just as much, if not more.
I will piggy back on what Ken Doll said Tuesday morning at Shawshank and what Gravedigger mentioned above. Shawshank is a special place filled with special men. I’m sure other AO’s fill the same way – that’s the way its supposed to be. But Shawshank is special. I appreciate every man there – each of you challenge me to #GetBetter physically, mentally, and spiritually every time I see you. #GetBetter #BeBetter. #ISI. #IAM3RD. These are things heard throughout F3 Nation and these are all things that are on display every day at Shawshank – and there is no doubt it will continue at The Hollow. TClaps to Ken Doll, Field Goal, and Gravedigger for their unfaltering leadership that continues to strengthen each one of us. F3 Nation is changing lives on a daily basis and I am more grateful than I can explain to be a part of such great men.
