It was time again for the bi-monthly convergence of Urban Legend and Jailbreak. YHC used his recycle skills today as the workout from last week’s Q at The Arena made an appearance at Urban Legend this morning. Three (3) HIM answered the bell, put their feet on the floor, and got 45 minutes better. Truly outstanding effort as lots of O2 was converted into CO2, and a new standard was set for Friday morning effort. It ain’t easy taking the DRP, but it’s certainly worth it. Flyover rule in effect.
Conditions: 75 degrees. Humidity 112%.

Devotional:
Ecclesiastes 12:1 and the verse says in its entirety: “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.”
The first part of this verse is inscribed above the Summerall Chapel at The Citadel, and it is a subtle reminder. One day you will be old, so make sure you have had a life-long relationship with God. While young people tend to think that youth is permanent and that they will never “get old,” Father Time is undefeated. What does “youth” and “old” mean to you?
Pablo Picasso was once quoted as saying “youth knows no age” and so the challenge is how do you stay young at your age, whatever that age is?
YHC was in the Army once upon a time. My first Battalion Commander in 1988 was LTC John Schneider. (Still remember him 35 years later.) One of his philosophies was “Be nimble in mind, body, and spirit.” Nimble is a word that while common, perhaps not likely part of most people’s everyday vocabulary. (We all know “Jack be nimble, Jack be quick….”) When being nimble, I think nimble = movement = growth. Being nimble in mind, body, and spirit therefore means moving and growing your mind, moving and growing your body, and moving and growing your relationship with God 3-in-1.
Already done one of these today – we moved our bodies. Now your challenge for balance of the day is to move and grow you mind and move and grow in your spiritual walk. Doing these three things will help you stay young, and with that….
Have a great weekend!
