9 Pax trickled out into the gloom for the first stride run of 2015 to conquer all the downtown Lexington hills and witness first hand how fast squad cars can peel out of a police station.
Conditions: 46° and 80% RH
Thang:
Head towards main street. Turn right and head to the bottom of the hill. Turn left onto Harmon St and head up the hill. Veer right onto Corley St and head up the hill. Turn left on Dreher. Turn left on Lake. Turn right on Main. Turn left on Church.. Head down the hill.. Veer right on Hendrix… slow climb up the hill. Turn left on Gibson. Veer left on Elm and turn left on Church and head back to the courthouse. 4.75 miles.
A few missed the turn onto Elm and continued on Gibson and turned left on church and endured probably the worst hill (12% grade) in Lexington for an extra 0.50 miles… (A bit closer to 1000 miles, eh?)
Moleskin:
All skill levels are welcome and were represented at this run! All put in maximum effort as usual. Welcome back to Gravedigger from his very unfortunate fartsack yesterday. YHC thinks he made up for his alarm clock malfunction well enduring 5.25 very hilly miles. He is forgiven.
TCLAPS to Pepto for the extra mileage on StrideXL.
