ST. Patrick’s Day workout

On St. Patrick’s Day, we rucked, then kettlebelled.

Socrates (and if there were others, YHC apologizes for the omission) started the morning at 5AM with an XL ruck.  Tclaps to that.  At 5:30, Wapner got the ruck going.  We journeyed to the Lowe’s parking lot and a couple other spots.  There were a couple places where hill climbing was treacherous but we persevered.

At 6, YHC Q’d for the first time in a long time.  To prepare, YHC upgraded from a 15lb kettlebell to a 20lb one…and quickly wished he had stayed with the 15 lb one.  Respect to you brothers who are out there slinging around the 25lb and above ones.  Thumbs Up provided appropriate St. Paddy’s music.

Here’s what we did:

Round 1:

12 reps of deadlift, 12 reps of kettlebell swings, 12 goblet squats, 12 kettlebell presses each arm, 12 cleans each arm, 12 teapots each side, 12…no, make that 10 elf on the shelf, 12 curls each arm.

Round 2:

Rinse and repeat with 10 reps of everything except EOTS, which had 8 reps.  Then, Quis called an exercise that YHC forgets the name but has a squat and press.  Then Magoo called rows.  And finally, Magoo delivered 5 minutes of gumby.  As YHC types this, he realizes that we squeeze a lot of stuff into this 30 minutes.  Anyone who has not tried this should give it a shot.  Very efficient workout.  Coffeteria at Lowes followed.
