Today YHC is offering up a 6-Pack of Exercises to help the pax work on their own 6-pack of abs for the summer. This was somewhat stolen from a Quisenberry Q last week with a few modifications.

The 6 exercises are as follows:

2 Burpees OYO

Mountain Climbers X 3 IC

Hand Release Merkins X 4

BBSU X 5 OYO

Squats X 6 OYO

LBC’s X 7 OYO

When complete, plank for the 6.

The goal is to complete each round in one minute and rotate to the next station.

10 Stations Total in One Lap

Rinse and repeat until time is up.

After 10 stations, actually after about 2 stations, the pax started discussing mutiny, so some modifications were inserted after the 10th station.

One lap mosey around the parking lot.

10 Burpees OYO

Plank for a short while.

Mosey to another light.

Mountain Climbers X 10 IC

Plank for a short while.

Hand-Release merkins X 10 on my count

As all Arena pax know, YHC always does two final exercises to remember our lost F3 and FiA pax:

Merkins for Digits – 30, or as many as possible, on YHC’s count – pause – do last 6 together for a total of 36.

Flutter kicks for Cheech, 30 IC, pause, and then 8 more together for Cheech – 38 total.

Russian Twist X 10 IC

Turned it over to Rock Drop – 15 Crunchy Frogs OYO

Encourage on another and build each other up…..

1 Thessalonians 5:11

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

Store from F3 Q Source May 3:

The Group of Frogs (Encouragement)

As a group of frogs were traveling through the woods, two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs crowded around the pit and saw how deep it was, they told the two frogs that there was no hope left for them.

However, the two frogs decided to ignore what the others were saying and they proceeded to try and jump out of the pit. Despite their efforts, the group of frogs at the top of he pit were still saying that they should just give up. That they would never make it out.

Eventually, one of the frogs took heed to what the others were saying and he gave up, falling down to his death. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die.

He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, “Did you not hear us?”

The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.

Moral of the story: People’s words can have a big effect on other’s lives. Think about what you say before it comes out of your mouth. It might just be the difference between life and death.

One More – Quote From CS Lewis.

“It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree, helping each other to one or other of these destinations. It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations — these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit — immortal horrors or everlasting splendors. … Next to the blessed sacrament itself, your neighbor is the holiest object presented to your senses.”

— “The Weight of Glory”

Do your best to build one another up!

Thank you to Notebook and Floppy for their apologies to the Q…
