No More Sally!

YHC has only visited Turning Point a few times and always wondered by the pax always confined themselves to an elementary school campus when there’s a whole world to see. I get the pax at Shawshank need to be confined because of what they represent and that Graveyard pax have the whole world at their disposal and need not go anywhere. But TP has to live a little and see what’s in their backyard!

Over the last few months YHC has taken his 2.0 to Midway every school morning and always had visions of grandeur for the ‘hill’. YHC has dreamed of inflicting pain on that hill for many months. Saturday that vision became a reality as 15 pax stormed the hill and gave their best effort in their first excursion off campus.

On this 28 degree and breezy morning, it got heated in a hurry.

YHC is also a believer in not wasting time, but jumping right into the fray. 15 pax did their best rendition of ‘Bring Sally Up’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41N6bKO-NVI , a Moby song called ‘Flower’.

COP – Parking Lot

  • 4 minutes of ‘Sally’ plank / merkins (There were pleas for No More Sally, Stop Sally, Lay Down Sally and many others
  • 20 Burpees OYO (more to follow)

Mosey to the Brickpile (Thanks to Quest for leading us to the ‘new’ for the Q brickpile)

  • Grab 2 bricks each and mosey off campus.
  • Pax moseyed steadily to ‘the hill’ (Oliver Metz)
  • Pax gathered at the base of the hill for some shoulder leg work
  • 35 curls for the girls at base of oliver metz (Run up hill to Appaloosa Dr)
  • 35 tricep extensions (Run up hill to Huckleberry Lane)
  • 35 bench presses (Run back to base of hill)

Rinse and repeat dropping 10 reps per cycle

  • 25 curls, tricep extensions & bench presses (Run back to base of hill)
  • 15 curls, tricep extensions & bench presses (Run back to base of hill)
  • 5 curls, tricep extensions & bench presses
  • Plank until group finishes (During this rep, Shake N Bake said this was brutal and so QIC modified the next set of exercises to ditch the bricks
  • Start at base of Oliver Metz with 15 crunches (run up hill to Appaloosa Dr)
  • 15 Russian Twists (run up hill to Huckleberry Lane)
  • 15 Big Boy Situps (Run to base of hill)
  • Rinse and repeat dropping 5 reps
  • 10 crunches, 10 russian twists, 10 BBSU
  • 5 crunches, 5 russian twists, 5 BBSU
  • Totals of 35 for each exercise
  • Mosey back to campus with your bricks (the long way)
  • 10 burpees OYO (front of campus)
  • Mosey to upper basketball court
  • 5 burpees OYO (35 total now)
  • Run the stairs in route to brickpile
  • Drop bricks off and circle up
  • 35 Burpees OYO (or as many as you could do to save time for Sally)
  • Mosey to Parking lot and circle up
  • 4 minutes of Sally (Squats)
