Devo- In the Lord’s prayer, we pray- give us this day our daily bread. But do we ever actually thank the Lord for the provisions He provides us today. We need to think back to the Exodus when the Israelites were tired, hungry, and complaining. The Lord provided manna every morning, but warned the Israelites to only take enough to get them through the day. Of course, the Israelites failed to obey and learned that gathering too much of the manna brought on maggots and rotten manna. God literally provided bread from the sky, yet the Israelites didn’t trust enough to have the faith that God would provide tomorrow. How much different are we than the Israelites? We are too worried about tomorrow, next week, next month, next year… that we forget to than God for the blessings in our life today.
