Pastor has told a story about mothers training their daughters to go to the market and correctly picking out a sheet of fabric. The mothers would tell the daughters to get the seller to completely unfold the sheet so that any stains, tears, etc were seen.  The reason for this is that the seller would move the fabric around in a way that it would hide the stains, tears, etc when showing it and an unknowing customer would buy it without knowing about the faults.

How often do we do the same in our lives? How many folds and manipulations do we do to hide out faults, sins, etc?  Would we ever be bold enough to completely unfold our sheet and be open about these things?  We have no choice when going before God, he sees right through our folds and sees our imperfections…and through grace that only our father can show, he still loves us.
