12 PAX showed up dark and early this Good Friday for a quick run up Mount Regal. YHC has somehow missed every single group trek up this little hill so far and wanted that to change some day. Today was that day.
Conditions: Breezy 63 degrees

The Thang:
BOM and Prayer
This was a nice and easy out and back, heading up Mount Regal and circling right back down. With the video on our hearts and minds, we took off running silent for a few minutes to reflect and meditate on what this day means to each of us. After the few minutes spent on the video, we called it 20 minutes out and 20 minutes back. Total distances ranged from 3 to just under 5 miles.

Perfect weather for a run this morning. These guys are a determined bunch and it’s easy to see that each man is excited to #GetBetter. Thanks everyone for obliging with the video and silent run to kick it off. I hope it was as powerful for you as it was for me. Great getting to find the #CrossRuck crew also (or crash their quiet time… I’m not sure what was going on up there). Nice work, fellas.

We all carry shame and guilt in our lives. If our solution to that shame and guilt is anything other than Jesus Christ, we’re walking the wrong path. Jesus gave His life on the cross this day all those years ago so we could be free. Free from guilt. Free from shame. Free from burden. Children of God, a Third Day song, says from scripture ‘By the blood of His Son, we have been redeemed and we can be called Children of God.’ (Ephesians 1:7 and others.). “Jesus is eternally enough.” (Thanks F3Pew).
Meant to share a favorite verse this morning but will leave it here. Romans 6:4 “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Brothers, we all have the opportunity of a new life through Jesus Christ. Be raised up and live your new life!
