YHC was asked to come back to Detention by Hot-4-Teacher. And more importantly he begged for an Old School Burpee intense Rinse & Repeat workout. Always eager to please the PAX IYHC put himself down on the calender. When the Day showed up H4T was AWOL. I will leave it to the regular Detainees to establish if there was a legitimate excuse

DEVO – Thoughts / Prayer for First Day of School
PROVERBS 1:7 – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
We pray that our students, teachers, and parents all understand where the true source of knowledge comes from.
1 SAMUEL 12:24 – Only fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.
A large part of the violence in our schools come from a desire to fit in. To find a safe place. We pray that everyone finds that safe place in God and thru His servants. We pray that we serve God to give all of these kids what they need and want. Love, respect, safety.
PROVERBS 15:5 – A fool despises his Father’s instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.
School is tough. It is harder if you are trying to “buck the system” instead of allowing the teachers to fill you up with knowledge. We also pray the teachers fill the kids up with knowledge that is worth knowing.
JOSHUA 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
This does not mean with God by your side you will live a trouble free life. It means during your troubles, God is by your side.
Isaiah 8:10 Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted: propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us.
And lastly for those who may turn to evil, may their plans be stopped before any bad can happened to your children.
