14 PAX gathered in the glorious gloom of Strut looking to get better than they were a day before. YHC heard their cries and attempted to assist them with that process. So, YHC decided to have some fun today, and do a little work as well.
No bunnies were injured in this workout.

One particular stretch of the Colorado River fascinated Arthur Davis. Near the southern tip of Nevada, the river entered a surreal gorge known as Black Canyon. The walls of this canyon towered higher than any skyscraper Arthur had ever seen, and the river’s rage seemed to burn furiously though it twisting, tortuous passes. After several years of planning and preparation, including the construction of diversion tunnels by cutting through bedrock in Black Canyon, the first buckets of mixed concrete were poured into the largest mold in the history of mankind on June 1, 1933. The last of the concrete was poured in 1935, two years ahead of schedule and the concept and dream of Arthur Davis was completed.
Isn’t it interesting that all of this took place at the time of the great depression. None of this would have happened if there were not a means and need to employ the thousands of people that lived and in some cases died during the building Hoover Dam. Funny how things come together; some think its fate, others know it is because of the love of the great Creator.
The point of this devotional is to say that this great feat that feeds and clothes millions of people in the southwest is a drop in the bucket to the power within each of us who have the mind of Christ supplied by the creator who loves us perfectly. His desire is to build you and I like the dam, building our character, trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit, so that we can turn a desert into an oasis of love for Him, His children and all those in our blast zone.
Father, the same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives within me.
