Strong work by the pax on a running heavy workout with focus on strengthening the glutes and low back as Pajanimal suggested during my visit to Jumanji when it opened. Tclaps and welcome to Hugo (FNG-Jamie Blair) on listening to his back and not hurting himself (disclaimers work). It was finally good to meet/name Pull Out (FNG-MIke Tolbert) after another strong work out with us for the 2nd time;). Only regret is that we didn’t have 5 more minutes or else we may have seen Permit spill some chicken wing merlot …maybe next time. Lastly, the sound of GoRuck training’s telephone poles flipping endlessly across the practice field and falling to the tundra produces a lullaby that you can only appreciate if you are in the gloom in Lexington County this time of year. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
With holiday season approaching and election season coming to an end; there undoubtedly will be opportuniites to discuss controversial subjects with friends/co-workers/F3ers/family/cashiers etc. These first 3 verses of 1 Cor 13 remind us that we can have gifts of speaking, prophecy, faith, and materials blessings but if we don’t have love we are a loud no gaining nothing. As we are all ministers of the Gospel, be quick to listen and show love to someone always, but especially over next couple of months. Extend grace and love to those you disagree when gently speaking the truth.
